Our vision

We at Sameem Orphan Care vehemently believe in the moral, ethical and altruistic principles of promoting the universal human rights regarding human dignity, freedom, justice, equality, empowerment and quality of life for all people, especially the vulnerable Orphans, destitute widows, the disabled and the destitute struggling in poverty.

Our primary focus has been to protect vulnerable children, orphans and widows from exploitation. Orphan children are among the most vulnerable in our world, especially those who experience the afflictions of extreme poverty and human rights abuses.

O ye that believe stand firmly for justice…

Qur’an 4:135

Our history

Sameem Orphan Care UK (SOC-UK) is a non paid and non-governmental organisation founded by father and son, Ghulam Mohamed (President) and Wasim Mohammed (Vice President and Chief Administrator). Its purpose is to provide humanitarian support for orphans, widows, people with disabilities, and those struggling in extreme poverty.

The charity objectives received resolute support from family relatives and friends to implement the humanitarian ideals towards the acts of compassion, kindness and commitment. The organisation was officially established and registered in the UK and Asia in 2005.

Our inspiration comes, in part, from Kenya in 1955 when
a humble 21-year-old Asian lady named Sharifa Mohamed wrote about our fundamental responsibilities to help the those in need in a letter to one of her sisters.

Sharifa, now 91 years of age is the wife of the 92-year-old president OF SOC.

Those words from 70 years ago echo throughout our own humanitarian sentiments attracting the attention to the 5 significant words, HELP, POOR, LOVE, DUTY, REMEMBERANCE

20th Anniversary

SOC-UK has been officially operating for over 20 years with resolute commitment for providing humanitarian assistance and support to the destitute suffering in extreme poverty.

SOC Trust Pakistan was established in 2005 followed by the SOC foundation Pakistan in 2015, both operating under the guidance of SOC UK as associate partners.

Through the partnership between Sameem Orphan Care UK and Sameem Orphan Care Pakistan, the lives of numerous orphans, widows and destitute individuals have been transformed over the past 20 years.

This has been achieved through sustained financial and psychological support, helping beneficiaries rebuilt their lives with hope, dignity, self-esteem and self-efficiency.
