Qur’an 76:8

Sameem Orphan Care has been providing impoverished families with food assistance for over 20 years.

Every human being has a right to food security. Poverty causes food insecurity, which impacts human health in numerous ways. Sadly, today, approximately 35% of the world’s population is unable to afford adequate nutrition.

Watch how we help impoverished families

The numerous tents behind some members of the SOC team belong to impoverished families residing in makeshift tents for many years.

These families were historically affected by different unfortunate circumstances, which include natural disasters, migration from conflict zones, and other tragedies.

Join us to alleviate their difficulties with your support for the food programmes.

Hunger is not an issue of Charity but an issue of justice.

Annual Ramadan Food Packs

Ramadan is the month of extra deep self-reflection, self-purification and compassion especially towards the needy.

Sameem Orphan Care has been providing annual Ramadan food packs to support impoverished families for nearly 20 years.

The impoverished deserving families are pre-selected through a robust criteria and given tokens to collect the food parcels on various distribution days.

Every year an average of 700 annual Ramadan food packs are distributed to the needy families by SOC.

Annual Eid Gift Packs

The distribution of Eid gift packs is also distributed to the impoverished families to make them feel inclusive of the celebration festivities.

“We love to touch the hearts of the poor and manifest smiles on the faces of children. [Wasim Mohammed]

These children experience Severe poverty which instils lack of hope, lack of confidence, lack of opportunities, social exclusion and diminished dignity.

All children deserve the opportunity to be happy.

As potentially reflective, potentially intellectual, potentially pragmatic and potentially considerate species of humanity, why would we want innocent vulnerable children to experience trauma and stagnation in their childhood!
