When the girls were aged 10 and 13 years, a devastating tragedy occurred when a car accident killed their parents and their baby brother. They did not have any close relatives to look after them.
After 11 days, a friend from their father’s workplace visited them and was shocked to find them in an extremely emotional and distressed state. They had not eaten, and they had been asked by the landlord to vacate the premises. They were immediately taken by the visitor to another family home for a very short period, to ensure their safety.
The sad situation of the 2 orphan girls was brought to the attention of SOC by their father’s friend, and full responsibility for their wellbeing was undertaken by SOC.
Both girls received full support, security and the opportunity to access good-quality education. Kiran graduated in 2010, and Sadaf graduated with Open University Pakistan.
It is a story of tragedy, shock, trauma, helplessness, and insecurity, transforming into security, hope, stability, determination, and success. SOC has experienced numerous inspiring stories that have impacted and transformed the lives of destitute orphans.
Why? To implement our vision by helping to bring meaningful and lasting change to the lives of the extremely vulnerable within global society.
