Our projects
Empowering Technical, Vocational and Soft Life Skills
We embrace and promote the ancient and wise philosophy of “Give a person a fish and it will be food for one day; teach the person to fish, and they will have food for the rest of their life.”
There are numerous life transformation anecdotes of students learning various life skills to become self-sufficient. SOC provides technical and vocational learning skills in diverse fields such as IT, digital, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and social life skills for young non-academic students.
Our aim is to provide sustainable, long-term livelihood solutions for vulnerable individuals through practical support, guidance, and skills development, enabling economic empowerment and lasting self-sufficiency.
Fabric design, sewing, and social skills for non-academic women, from young girls to widows.
Mohammed Uwais belonged to a poor family as a young boy with a disability when his father suddenly passed away.
SOC supported the family from 2008 till 2023. The young boy was encouraged to learn and develop his natural skills. Mohammed Uwais became self-sufficient in 2023, establishing his own business.
Dubai Entrepreneur
Shah Hussain was supported by an SOC programme and is now a successful entrepreneur in Dubai with three businesses: a real estate agency, a travel agency, and a typing centre.
It is another inspiring story of the poor being given the opportunity and support to develop their potential to become self-sufficient with dignity.
